Lifestyle of the people have changed drastically in the Medieval period. Pit-dwellings were obsolete and earthfast houses became dominant. Grazed ceramics are produced across Japan and distributed throughout the country. Products of the Tōkai region were dominant and imported ceramics from China such as bowls were valued in the Kantō region.
